First of all the drivers could have got lost in another installation process. Second of all, there could be some kind of hardware conflict with another newly installed driver thats really slowing things down. I've also tried to retore to a previous point with no success.
Thanks for the suggestions so far Or you can try deleting the upper and lower filters for xp or vista , backup your registry first before trying this. How old is the computer? Did it come with XP installed? Alot of people want to upgrade to Vista but alot of hardware does not have drivers available for them. Is this a Vista upgrade? Just some thoughts.
